magnetic art display... a project

It dawned on me that in these days of Pinterest-inspired projects, I hadn't yet shared a project that we completed before I got addicted, er introduced, to Pinterest.
My daughter is a budding artist and has many, many creations. The problem is that my refrigerator isn't big enough to hold all of her artwork ;) I basically have one clip on the fridge and rotate new projects through - for both her and her brother, who has picked up on how to use a pencil pretty fast.

I wanted her to be able to display her artwork in her room. We have two bigger projects within poster frames, but still needed something for the smaller stuff. Just for safety reasons, I didn't want a bulletin board with pushpins. Zane is in her room all too often playing with her and I didn't want him to come across a stray pin. So I thought - let's go magnetic. I couldn't find a "real" magnetic board that wasn't crazy expensive, so I got to thinking... what about coming up with our own, diy style? But then entered in the question of how to adhere it to the wall without using adhesive.

A quick trip to the supply store yielded us with a flat strip of steel (found it in varying lengths & just got the one that worked best for us) along with mirror hangers! Forgive the blurry photos - just took quick snaps - but you can see how it is attached to the wall. No adhesive (just holes, lol). We also got some strong magnets from the store and they hold several layers worth so that she can overlap pictures.

Ta-da! The completed project. It can get quiet crowded, so occasionally I have to come in and guide her in paring down, lol, although generally it's her wall space so she can "decorate" it how she wants.

rearranged!

So this weekend we attacked my daughter's room all with the intention of giving her a "hiding space" like the one my daughter saw on one of my Pinterest boards:
Well, my daughter is of course 8, so there is no crib in her room... she does however have a fantastic bed that has drawers underneath so it sits a bit higher. We turned her bed and gave her some space between it and the wall (hidden from the door to her room), that being the best "fix" for an impossible goal. We then arranged every other piece of furniture in her room and cleaned off all dresser and desk tops, so it's picked up and looks new.

I love rearranging rooms. It just freshens a space. My master bedroom and living room are pretty much situated in the only possible way available -  not much empty wall space - too many doorways, closets, and a fireplace in the living room. Boo :( So, that leaves me rearranging the kids' rooms. :) Yesterday, I was able to give Zane the above type space (and goodness, Lynn is jealous). His bed was already in the perfect spot, I just had to move a piece of furniture out of the corner (relocated to his closet!) Sooo... I'm hoping my hubs will give me the go-ahead to put together the pvc framework to give him the curtains. We tried a tension rod and that is not quite the best idea for a 2year old boy! :) Not only doesn't it stay up long, it then becomes a sword that he swings around! (Where do they learn this stuff? I really think it's just in the genes for boys - swords/guns, cars, balls. It's all there - with no teaching from us!) Anyway, I was trying to think of what to do with the "secret hiding spot" to make it more "boyish." I thought about putting a small tent in that space, but it's really too small for that. I thought about making it more of a teepee hideout, which would work, I guess. But, after passing along this idea to my dad, who enjoys making things, I think I'll just stay with the curtains and have this on the wall inside the "secret spot":
That is very cool! Gadgets to fiddle with. Zane will be all over this. He's into figuring out how things connect and work. He has already disassembled things, due to curiosity vs a destructive nature. Thanks, Pinterest, for some fun ideas to feed my rearranging addiction. ;)

You don't have any different ideas for Zane's spot, do you? What would make this hideout more "boyish?"

edited: just found this space as a boy option... Those are cool things hanging from the ceiling. Zane's room is more about cars and trains though... I also have a huge open wall to fill. I've been debating what to do on that! Spare car parts? Photos of cars? Unfortunately my budget for this is like $10, so I can't be too extravagant for either part of the project...

holiday cleaning

I am on the email newsletter list for Living on A Dime. I don't think I've actually ever been to her website, but I thoroughly enjoy the (frugal) tips and recipes that she sends out weekly. She's got several ebooks that look fantastic, although I've not purchased any.
Anyways, since I wrote about breaking up my cleaning into 15 minutes per day chunks (and having so-so results... I'm not sure I actually like that method. Weird, I know) and am still tackling my fall cleaning list, this was a great prompt to remind me of a few things.

I'll copy and paste the article here for yall. Maybe it'll inspire you to tackle some early preholiday-cleaning.

Holiday Cleaning - Preparing Now For The Holidays

Halloween is over, which means it is now officially time to kick it
into gear to get ready for the holidays and to get your house ready
for company. It really helps to get your house in order now because
if unexpected company comes you won't get caught off guard. Then
you can concentrate on baking, finding gifts and organizing
activities without having to worry about deep cleaning your house
again until after the New Year.

Hopefully by now you have been inspired to start getting things
done a little at a time so this won't be too big of a job. Here are
a few things to work on:

* Get your closets in order. Put summer clothes away and take
winter clothes out, tossing as you go.

* Don't forget your linen closets. Get your guest towels, sheets
and extra blankets aired out and put the linens in a handy spot so
they are easy to grab when you need them.

* If you have a guest room, get it cleaned and prepare everything
for your first guests.

* Get your holiday linens prepared. Wash them if necessary and make
sure they're ready to go.

* Hopefully you have cleaned your pantry. Now you need to make sure
it is stocked with everything you need for your holiday recipes,
for some quick and easy to fix snacks and dinners for unexpected
company or food to take to social events.

* Make sure your fridge and freezer are in order. The refrigerator
and freezer are going to work overtime for you over the next couple
of months so make sure they're cleaned, organized and prepared.

* I don't worry about cleaning my oven at this time. I use it so
much for baking that it's silly for me to clean it right before
having a baking fest. I usually wait and give it a good cleaning
after the holidays. If it's really bad or you have company coming
and it looks awful you may want to go ahead and clean it anyway.

* This week and next week is the time to do any deep cleaning that
you don't want to have to mess with again until after the
holidays-- things like washing your windows, deep cleaning rugs and
carpets and dusting mirrors, picture frames, lampshades or ceiling
fans.

If you have been keeping up with your cleaning you may not have to
do any of these. Basically just clean your house enough for
company. Then you'll know it's done and you will be prepared for
the unexpected.

Part of the stress that comes at the holidays is the result of not
being prepared, especially for the unexpected things that always
seem to come up. Think of it like being prepared for a disaster. If
I have a wood burning stove, firewood, lots of candles, blankets
and food prepared, I am not too stressed if we lose power from an
ice storm. If I wasn't at all prepared, I would be in a total panic
if an ice storm hit.

If you are prepared, you have something you can whip up for company
in just a few minutes or if the kids need treats for school, you
have dough frozen and ready to be baked in the freezer. I'm not
saying that I have everything prepared like Martha Stewart but I do
try to have everything together enough so that I'm reasonably
prepared for the unexpected. My idea of the perfect woman is a
cross between Martha Stewart and Erma Bombeck! Some days I am more
one than the other and on other days I totally miss the mark, but
that's okay, because I tried. :-)

[day 24] grocery shopping methods

I am not sure which I dislike the most: creating a grocery list or doing the actual shopping. Neither are appealing to me. I think even if I had an limitless budget for the tasks, I'd still rather avoid them!

I am out of excuses. Out of some of the essentials like bread (for lunch sandwiches) and bagels, cereal, & poptarts (for breakfast), I can't put this chore off any longer. Uck.

At this point in our family's lives, I basically shop at Aldi and then go to Walmart (or Harris Teeter if I care to assemble coupon match-ups on a super double or triples week) to fill in what I can't get or don't like to get at Aldi. I have found that this is the best way to pay the least amount of money for the food we need, without all-out couponing.

It seems like there are a few different thoughts to shopping/cooking. There's what I'll call the "stockpile" mentality, which tends to work best for couponers. Stock the pantry when you can get the best deal on an item. Those type people tend to meal plan/cook from what is in their pantry.  I admire these people greatly and have dabbled with being one of these types, however I just can't make it all work for us consistently. I am not diligent enough to stay on top of the sales (even with great sites like this one out there, who does it all for you!) and don't have the money up front, honestly, to be able to begin stockpiling my pantry while also feeding my family for the first few months.

What I'm doing now is writing out a meal plan for two weeks and then shopping only for those things. I don't necessarily write out which day I am going to serve what, but just create a big list of these meals that I am purchasing to create. Each day I then pick whatever sounds appealing for that day, knowing my ingredients are already purchased. I do tend to look at what I already have in my pantry and start my planning from there, but don't solely rely on pantry items to create the list.

I guess the third type would be those that wander the aisle and buy what looks/sounds good, essentially creating a menu as you go. Never really good at sticking to a budget using this type mentality, it's not been what's best for our family. Although some times when I was too lazy to meal plan, it's inevitably what happened during my trip to the store. Those were not good budget months when that happened.

What have you found to work best for your family? How often to you grocery shop?

[day 13] 15 mins a day

While fall cleaning is one thing, routine "maintenance" cleaning is another. I hopped over to a few more of the 31 Day Challenge participants the other night and found a few dealing with cleaning. Clean Mama's 31 Days to a Cleaning Routine and Organizing Made Fun's 31 Days to Cheaply Organizing your Home are just two that I clicked on for a little motivation.

My current "plan" of action is to wash laundry on Mondays (& then an extra load either Thursday or Friday). That is pretty much the only chore set in stone. Kitchen vacuuming has to happen multiple times a week (due to my toddler's less than neat eating habits), but carpet vacuuming is spontaneous, as is mopping the kitchen floor. Bathrooms don't happen on a set day, but instead get done every 1-1.5 weeks, with a wipe-down or two between full cleanings.

I think what I'd like to try, though, is an approach where I do a little every day. That way, I could have a set time and then also have some set chores for my daughter as well. My house isn't very large... 3 bedrooms, 2 baths, hallway, eat-in kitchen, & living room. With the chores all divided out, it'll be no more than 15 minutes a day. That will leave time for me to tackle a fall cleaning chore too. Ugh, but that's another list to compile.

Ok, no more excuses... time to write out a schedule. I just cleaned, vacuumed, mopped yesterday, so I can at least begin the routine with a clean house!

I am going to use Becky's (from Organizing Made Fun) for a jumping off point. The link to the above schedule is here. Honestly, I don't need to change it much. I am going to try it as is. I like vacuum day being Monday - good to clean up after everyone being home all weekend, going inside and outside with dirty feet. That's also an easy chore while shuffling laundry from washer to dryer.

I think I will make cleaning time just after snack time, after school, before homework time. Lynn and I will joint tackle these. It'll also give us some time to talk. Usually snack time is her time with her brother, giggling back and forth at each other.

During the day I will work to de-clutter (something I feel like I do constantly anyways) and fall clean.
Daily, already, about 15 minutes before Mr. H is due home we have a "clean sweep" time where we basically put all the childrens' stuff from the living room and kitchen back into their rooms, tidying up the main living areas from when they had their stuff out playing.

Ah, a plan is step one. Now onto putting it into action!

What does your cleaning routine look like? A little every day or do you have certain days of the week that you focus on cleaning?

edited: I'm adding in a link to another great resource available for personal-use download. Tidy Mom has posted a resource, breaking cleaning into: Daily, Weekly, Monthly, Yearly. Her daily/weekly is more like what I've done in the past. No set days divided out, but it's a great checklist to consult. Her yearly is what caught my attention. Instead of making everything a "spring" or "fall" cleaning task, she has divided it out. By the way, I am using the 15 minutes a day schedule and it's going great!

[day 12] "sew" it's time to craft

It's a rainy day. Again. So, instead of thinking too deeply, I'm aiming to tackle a few things today... routine cleaning chores (bathrooms...) as well as maybe something creative. I always make excuses about pulling out the sewing machine. I don't have room to keep it set up, so it's a pain to pull out and put away... Everything gets disrupted when I'm sewing/crafting and we don't need more of a mess around here. No excuses!

My real-life friend Sarah was motivated to start sewing her own reusable snack bags (and selling them on etsy) after noticing how quickly her family of six was going through ziploc bags. "Hmm," I thought, "what a clever idea!"

After chatting about the idea to another friend, who dug up some PUL fabric that she was no longer going to use for homemade cloth diapers, I decided I was going to try and make some snack bags for my own family (and hers since she gave me the fabric, lol). I'm not sure how it'll work, but in concept it sounds like a perfect type of cloth for a reusable bag.

Just in case I've inspired you to take action, here are a few tutorials I have found (although for me, just using the one layer, it should be a pretty easy square :)

Tutorials (in no particular order)
We Wilsons (she also references what to do with one layer of fabric, in my situation)
Puking Pastilles (she has an option for one that is "gusseted" & sits open - sounds cool)
I Have to Say...

What's on your craft to-do list that you've been making excuses not to tackle?

updated: Uh oh... Just read this on another site:

"PUL is NOT food safe. It should NOT be used for the bag lining. Rip stop nylon is considered food safe and can be found at local fabric stores. Also, muslin is another safe alternative for the bag lining. I would hate for people to think they are "going green" while using potentially harmful material for their food storage."

Looks like I need to do some research on PUL!

[day 10] window treatments

Uck. Pulling out all sorts of "I don't want to" excuses for not tackling some of the items on my fall cleaning list.

Probably the easiest item on my list is to take down curtains and wash them.

I did the master bedroom and living room ones this summer, although honestly, they might as well get washed again while I'm doing the rest of them. I really need to wash Zane's curtain. His hasn't been washed since I created/sewed it when he was born (Yikes. He turns two next month folks.).

The thing that makes this such a stinky endevour is not the washing. I don't mind that. I don't mind standing on a chair, taking the rods down, and pulling off the curtain panels. The thing that makes me dread this task... is the ironing that must take place before they get rehung. Ugh. I do not like to iron. at all.

So what is on your fall cleaning list? Do you tackle the most dreaded task first or put that one off until last?

[day 2] laundry & rest

Something I've usually been pretty good about, but lately have just been rationalizing by making up excuses in my head, is doing chores on Sunday. We really like to try and keep Sundays a "Sabbath," which for us primarily means family time or just resting. Family time could be vegging in front of a movie or playing outside. Resting means, well, zonking out on the couch after church and lunch. :)

When I don't do what I need to do during the week, it's still there on the weekend (duh, I know!). It's so easy to say, "The laundry is really piling up. I need to do it now," but honestly, as a stay at home mom, I should be able to budget my time wisely and complete laundry on the other six days of the week. It's when I'm wasting my time that it doesn't get done.

Now, of course there are exceptions, weeks when inevitably someone drops something on their shirt during dinner, the kids were out playing in the rain, or Mr. H needs his biking clothes done in between rides, but there should be no excuses when I haven't spent my time wisely during the earlier part of the week!

just a little space

A certain tropical storm, named Lee, decided to gift us with some hard rainfall earlier this week. Part of that time was actually conducive for the kiddos to be able to splash out in the puddles and play in the rain. The result of all that rain was a large amount of wet outerwear, lol. Which further intensified my desire for a mudroom!

My current mudroom (aka my kitchen!)

My Pinterest-inspired mudroom (aka in my dreams!)

Do you have a mudroom? Does it ever look neat or does it become a catch-all for everything?

snagged in texture

Another newbie-texture-user photo here. A goal of mine for the month of September is to watch the instructional videos for Perfect Layers so that I can really get the most out of this program.

I felt this shot of my Rose of Sharon bloom, with it's rough, imperfect, snagged leaves needed some "roughing up" with a texture (click on image to enlarge). I haven't really been shooting that much lately. This little beauty was being tossed around in the winds that we received courtesy of Hurricane Irene. That's about all we got, seeing as we're a good 250+ miles from where it made landfall in the outer banks of the NC coastline.

I need to do a little more research on Rose of Sharon. We were gifted this as a small plant, and have already gotten several blooms, mere months after putting it in the ground. It's a pretty little thing out my back kitchen window. I enjoy the surprise of the blooms when they come, as the individual flowers themselves don't seem to last too long.

kitchen appliances

Hmmm... blender or food processor?

My blender can handle a basic task like making these fruitsicles as we did a few weeks ago, but beyond that, it's unable to handle what I need it to. I tried to use it to make this Roasted Red Pepper Hummus by Kristen (@ We are THAT family) and it didn't have enough uumph to cut down the chickpeas. I ended up borrowing a large food processor (my mini was too small) and perfect-o, it gave me the correct consistency. And let me tell you, that recipe is the best I've tried so far. It is SOOO good! (Don't be intimidated by the tahini, I found it in our Harris Teeter, by the peanut butter. Since you only use a few tablespoons it'll last awhile).

So, now our blender is officially on its way to Goodwill (it has let me down before - it can't even make a smoothie) and I need to start watching prices on a replacement. However, I need to decide which would be the best all-purpose appliance for us. I would like to be able to make smoothies or shakes but think realistically I'll be wanting something to make hummus or salsa (or something else?) more often. I use my mini chopper a bunch, but with these larger recipes, the small size doesn't work.

Do you have either appliance? Which do you use more, and for what do you use it?
Team blender or Team processor? ;)

stairs

I am having so much fun at Foto Fridays,
you really should play along as well!
This week's theme is stairs...
Since the definition of stairs is "a set of steps"...
I'm going to get creative again & say,

"You really should watch your steps. This ice is slippery!"

We had more ice than snow this past week and the sun finally came out yesterday to start to melt it. The sun glinting off the ice was truly magnificent! I used my polarizing filter to try and cut down on too much glare... still playing with that filter - I'm not sure if it was the right thing to do or not? (but the ones without the filter didn't look quite as crisp).
The leaf was frozen into this patch of ice (my daughter says it looks like a little dog, lol) so it too got included in my shot.

SnOw beautiful

SNOW!
What an amazing sight on Christmas morning! And waking up to it still on the ground for so many days afterwards as well! It has been awhile since we have gotten this much snow at once.

The snow prompted a walk around the neighborhood, complete with seeing the "beauty" in a variety of everyday sights now enhanced with the white stuff.

This shot I made black and white, although with the lack of color, it wasn't too much of a change :) However, I think the contrast is striking and even more defined in the black & white scheme.

While I was in our neighbor's yard (they moved to TX & had to leave their house empty here, for sale) snapping a few shots to send to them, I found one of their trees still holding onto its leaves. The snow on top gave it quite an interesting depth to it.

While I was traipsing around the neighborhood, I left my son in his grandma's care, to juggle him and their small dog (on a leash)... unfortunately Zane took a tumble and face-planted on the freshly shoveled sidewalk, resulting in quite a nice scratch the entire top of his nose. He took it bravely with little tears. All we had bandage-wise was a Hello Kitty band aide from big sister. My husband's reply? "Please get this boy some camo band aides or something!" LOL. At least he made it to one year in age before having his first big gash - pretty remarkable. Although seeing how adventurous he is now that he's always on the go, I'm sure this little Hello Kitty band aide photo will be a fun reminder of when it all started, lol.

scavenger hunt, take 1

My first entrance into Ashley's Scavenger Hunt Sunday (submitted a day late...). I have been really liking this "brown and white" preset that I got for Lightroom, so all my photos in this post will be a tweaked version of that preset. Enjoy :)

Family
There are so many things I could have chosen for family, but something that says extended family, holidays, and big meals is the "good china." Just a few times a year (if we're hosting) the china gets pulled down and used. While registering, it was only because of the insistence of my grandmother that we even picked any out. Now, after moving it numerous times over the years, I've said I'd like to use it more and just celebrate the ordinary events. I think that's going to be one of my goals for 2011.

Motion Blur

Mmmm... while growing up, baking and Christmas were synonymous. We made numerous types of Christmas cookies each year. One of the best things about Christmas morning was that we could snack on Christmas cookies whenever we wanted! Typically, we'd eat a big breakfast and then mom would have a turkey cooking for a late lunch/early dinner type meal. So - that meant a nice little gap in there that had to be filled with some kind of snacks. ;)

Pretty Package
Well, I did not get any photos of pre-opened gifts this year, so I will cheat and insert this photo of a snow-covered tree. We got a white Christmas this year, which in itself was a present for us :)

Glow
My hubby took this photo of my son and I as I had lifted him up to see the falling snow. One of his favorite phrases now is, "oooooo." He was quite impressed with the snow! (Not so impressed the next day when we bundled up and went out in it, as it was tough to walk in, lol).

Sparkle

This little hand-decorated bulb ornament is one of my favorites. It sparkles with just a dusting of clear glitter, but what it is and the little poem that is attached makes my eyes "sparkle" with tears as I think about my daughter continuing to grow up. (This was from when she was four; she's now seven).

pantry break-out!

Something so randomly satisfying to this follow-the-rules gal....

Last night I mixed up the ingredients for a white cake (following the directions to the letter, using egg whites only as to not spoil the pure white color)...

Then you wouldn't believe what happened. These little troublemakers arrived from the pantry...

And wanted to have some fun :)
"Oh sure," I said, "it's Christmas! Why not?" ;)

carseats

Now that my little man is 16 lbs, that infant carseat is quite a pain to tote around. Because there is a consignment sale this weekend that I am putting stuff in, I was thinking I could consign the infant carrier and stroller combo to get rid of it/free up some storage space (I barely used the stroller at all with Zane). We have a Graco convertible carseat, an inexpensive model, from our daughter's early years. We tried it in the back of my car (Mazda 6 sport wagon) and it's ridiculously huge. It won't fit in the middle with my daughter's booster next to it and when it's on the passenger side, the front seat is way up in the dash. I'm not sure if the seat is huge because of age or my backseat is just small. So, I've been searching websites and reading reviews and found these two: Britax Roundabout and the Combi Coccoro. Anyone familiar with either? They both sound like they are small enough to negotiate back seats, yet safe enough to house my 4 month old.

a little etsy love

If only I had a gift certificate to etsy for a thousand bucks...

I'd start here... And while I was sipping my nice, hot coffee, I'd shop for my kids first (of course).
I'd start to order this and then remember that I have a baby boy, so I'd get this instead.
For the big sister, who is so proud of her role, a bright purple tshirt.

For serving whatever wonderful meal I'm cooking that night, I'd get this platter to serve it on.
Then, to snuggle under while we're reading our night time story, we'd have this, made from all of my husbands hundreds of tshirts that he can't bear to part with. ;)
Since my hubby enjoys bicycling I'd surprise him with a (mountain biking) tshirt of his own (since he just got rid of the hundred t's to make the quilt with ;)
Since everyone got something, now I can order another little something for the mama... (Since mother's day is coming up after all).
Oh wait, one more thing... in honor of our 9th wedding anniversary, I'd order this for our home. Bicycle built for two! Too cute :)

Ah... what a fun shopping trip.

no room!

Stuff. Why do we pride ourselves on our stuff? I'm guilty... I like to have the "extras." But with a new fourth family member and our house's third bedroom taken, I am out of storage. We emptied out hubby's office last week and exponentially increased our level of "stuff" - so much so that we made a trip up to my parents this weekend to store some of it. But, not everything went and here it sits in my living room. Seeing this here makes me want to go through everything in the house and get rid of stuff. Call me crazy, but I should be able to survive on a lot less than I think I can! Who's with me? Yard sale, craigslist or freecycle... one of them is calling my name!

coupons

Welllll... I'm definitely not all up on the coupon-world, although I follow lots of great couponing mamas on sites like Budget Saving Mom, My Frugal Adventures, Cha-Ching on a Shoestring, & Money Saving Mom. Charlene posted a good article entitled, "5 Lessons I Learned Using Coupons." I thought it was a great list of tips for beginners like me! Anyone coupon? Anyone hit the drugstores and have a stockpile like these ladies do? I'm in awe... check out the above sites to follow all the latest sales and deals.

my makeup drawer

Jo-Lynne, over at Chic Critique, is hosting a "What's in Your Makeup Bag" Carnival, so I thought I'd play along.
My makeup bag is actually a makeup drawer (that is organized at the moment!), so I'll share a pic first.

What's in that drawer? Well, you'll see I wear two brands: Mary Kay and Clinique. There's no big reason behind that except that I got started with Mary Kay as a preteen (with their skin cleanser routine) and moved to Clinique later on after scoring some great samples and getting hooked (lol).

Cleansers:
Clinique's Step 1, 2, and 3

Eyes:

(two examples of colors in my drawer)
Mary Kay's mini mineral eye color quad (honey spice, sienna, blue metal, vintage gold)
Clinique's color surge eye shadow trio (rose chocolate, luck penny, confetti)
(two liners in my drawer - I used to use liquid liner, but now have found that I like these two pencil options better)
Clinique's kohl shaper for eyes, black honey
Mary Kay's signature eyeliner, steely
(mascara "must have" - I have thick lashes and like small bristles on my mascara wand. I have found this one to be the best. No clumping, etc.)
Clinique's lash power mascara, black

Face:
Clinique's sun-care UV-response face cream, SPF 30 Clinique's superbalanced foundation, cream chamois
(very seldom do I use blush, but I like how this is not a powder but more of a powdery cream that I spread on with my fingers, if that makes sense)
Mary Kay's signature velvet mousse cheek color, berry

Lips:

(my most recent purchase - I like that it's a "thicker" lip gloss)
Clinique's vitamin C lip smoothie, goodness grapecious

Ok, well, now you know what my makeup regiment looks like. Of course, as I type this I am "au-natural" with no plans on going out for the day! :)
So, what's in your makeup bag? If you play along, be sure to leave your link in my comment section as well as linking up at the carnival.
