early sunrise color

Had the opportunity to take a bit of a "nature walk" this weekend while visiting family and bundled up to meet the color in the dawning of a new day. This was just a plant of some sort, beginning to become wilted by the freezing temperatures, but the way it wound up silhouetted against the purple of the morning sky gave it new life.

(For you photogs, the only post-processing I did was turn up the contrast a tiny bit to darken the silhouette).
