Women of Faith worship cd, "Rejoice"

Something a little different this month: I had the chance to review a cd instead of a book from Thomas Nelson, Inc. Songs such as "Beautiful Redeemer," "Our God," and "Great is Thy Faithfulness" have me turning my thoughts heavenward and putting my focus on the One that gave me life to wake up with today.

A mix of upbeat songs and more mellow ones, make this collection one that isn't in a "rut" when it comes to song styles. The lyrics and beat of "Forever Reign" stick with me... "You are good, you are good, when there's nothing good in me, you are love, you are love, on display for all to see..." "Oh I'm running to your arms... the riches of Your love will always be enough..." (written by Jason Ingram & Reuben Morgan).

The ladies have great harmony and variety of octaves, so it's easy to sing along with whether you are soprano or alto (or somewhere in between ;)

I appreciate that the lyrics are written on the inside of the cd jacket, along with a few photos from Women of Faith events. It's not recorded live, so there's no crowd noise or speaking on the cd, which I was glad to hear. I was a little disappointed that there were only 10 songs; most days cds come with more than that.

All in all, if you enjoy worship cds, sung by praise teams, then there is no reason you won't enjoy this collection!

Speaking of which... (AH!!) I won a trip to Women of Faith Imagine conference, taking place next month, from Booksneeze and Women of Faith. I am so excited. I am taking my mom and we'll have a weekend together, staying in a hotel (been too long!) and I'll get a bit of a rest from my role of "mommy" for a weekend. I'll be tweeting over the conference weekend as well as recapping with a blog entry afterwards.

Disclosure of Material Connection: I received this cd free from Thomas Nelson Publishers as part of their BookSneeze.com book review bloggers program. I was not required to write a positive review. The opinions I have expressed are my own. I am disclosing this in accordance with the Federal Trade Commission’s 16 CFR, Part 255: “Guides Concerning the Use of Endorsements and Testimonials in Advertising.”
