lifetime warrenty

Well, lifetime warranties are GREAT but only if you still live in the same city you bought the product in! Our muffler has gone ka-putz. So, well, we had to decide if it was worth driving 2+ hrs away to get it replaced for (mostly) free (we'd still have to pay labor costs) or if we should go ahead and pay to have it done locally and today (our only free day in forever). Well, we opted for the pay $125 now vs. driving all day to get a low-cost replacement at our original place of purchase at a time to be determined. Time-savvy? yes. Economical? probably not. Oh well, at least, now our 89 Volvo wagon doesn't sound like a hot-rod that you can hear approaching a mile away :-)
